Clark says a Bronx man was sentenced for <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/2023\/11\/04\/investigators-44-year-old-man-killed-by-younger-brother-with-bowling-ball-in-concourse-village-apartments\/6FfmX7o1gYM5coQnlqljdZ\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">beating his brother to death<\/a> with a bowling ball inside their Concourse Village apartment in 2023.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Jayson Dargan, 43, will serve 17 years behind bars and five years post-release supervision for killing 44-year-old Timothy Dargan, stuffing his body in a trash bag and leaving it under a bed.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Prosecutors say Dargan placed the bowling ball in a trash bag and used it to repeatedly strike his older brother on the head sometime between Oct. 22 and Nov. 1.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;This defendant in cold blood killed his own brother as he slept,&#8221; said D.A. Clark.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Dargan then put his brother&#8217;s body in a trash bag and stuffed it under a bed, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The building&#8217;s management reached out to the father of the Dargan brothers after a neighbor noticed a foul smell. Another one of his sons called police.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Officers arrived at 775 Concourse Village East on Nov. 2., where they discovered Timothy Dargan&#8217;s body.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Jayson Dargan was arrested later that same day, initially facing murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon charges.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">He pleaded guilty to manslaughter on May 8, 2026 and was sentenced Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Bronx District Attorney Darcel D.
