The royal family partnered with the nonprofit Dreams and Wishes to host a treasure hunt and tea party. Grenadier Guards soldiers stood at the door as the children arrived in a horse-drawn carriage for the special day. They dined on sweet treats and let all their cares drift away. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inspiremore.com\/queen-camilla-gets-candid-when-asked-if-king-charles-will-step-back-from-royal-duties\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Queen Camilla<\/a> joined the children for tea and special activities throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>One Child Had a Special Request During Tea with Queen Camilla<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/home-news\/children-scouts-clarence-house-south-wales-b2989012.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Independent<\/a>, a 7-year-old boy named Rupert brought along his Chief Scout\u2019s Commendation for Meritorious Conduct medal and asked Queen Camilla to pin it on him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was really overwhelmed, and gradually, he has been getting more excited,\u201d his mother told the news outlet. \u201cHe has been asking, \u2018Does the Queen have a dragon in her castle?\u2019 As a family, we have said this year is just about saying `yes to life.\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n<p>The royal family shared photos on social media of Queen Camilla\u2019s special tea party. It looks like everyone had fun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Queen\u2019s Equerry, Major Treasure, also set the children to task with a treasure hunt\u2026 leading to the stash of chocolate coins hidden under the Grenadier Guards\u2019 hats!\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DZIjZZTMHDR\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> caption reads. \u201cDreams and Wishes was established in 2011 and is entirely volunteer-run, with a dedicated team committed to making every child\u2019s wish a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event touched many people\u2019s hearts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis just brought tears to my eyes. Joy and sadness to see those children so happy, but poorly too.
