{"id":25516,"date":"2025-11-01T23:51:24","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T23:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/25516\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T23:51:24","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T23:51:24","slug":"brooklyn-folk-festival-next-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/25516\/","title":{"rendered":"Brooklyn Folk Festival Next Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brooklynfolkfest.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brooklyn Folk Festival<\/a>, presented by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jalopytheatre.org\/festivals\/brooklynfolkfestival\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jalopy Theatre and School of Music<\/a>,\u00a0will take place Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 9 at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stannholytrinity.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">St. Ann &amp; the Holy Trinity Church<\/a>, enter at 157 Montague Street. As it has over the years, it will present live performances, both on the main stage in the Sanctuary and on a small stage in the Parish Hall that provides space for dancing. The photo shows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kupferbergcenter.org\/event\/latg-07152025\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Slide Stops<\/a>, at the 2023 Festival, leading a session of line dancing. They will be back this year. There will also be numerous discussion groups on a variety of music related topics. In addition to traditional American, British, Irish, and Scottish folk music, sounds from around the world will be represented. Festival veterans and local favorites\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.norabrownmusic.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nora Brown<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.feralfoster.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Feral Foster<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jerronpaxton.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jerron Paxton<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.downhillstrugglers.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Down Hill Strugglers<\/a>\u00a0will perform.
