A man was found stabbed to death inside his Bronx apartment after tenants complained of a foul odor, according to a report \u2014 and cops are hunting for a bearded suspect.<\/p>\n
A worker renovating units at the building on Longfellow Ave. near Aldus St. in Longwood went to investigate the source of the horrible smell and found the victim dead from a knife wound to his chest about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, the landlord told News 12<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was discovered with a knife in his chest, I believe\u201d the landlord told the station.<\/p>\n The victim, believed to be in his 60s, had been living in the unit with a male roommate through a supportive housing program for several years, the landlord told News 12.<\/p>\n The roommate was not home when the body was discovered but the landlord believes he had been living with the corpse for days.<\/p>\n Police sources told the Daily News neighbors heard screaming from the apartment around the time the stabbing is believed to have taken place.<\/p>\n The lanky murder suspect, who was sporting a thick beard and was last seen wearing a black shirt<\/a>, dark pants and sneakers, was caught on surveillance video leaving the building at some point. He was last seen fleeing down the street, cops said.<\/p>\n Cops released images of the suspect on Thursday in the hopes someone recognizes him.<\/p>\n The slaying was one of two homicides to take place in the Bronx within a 13-hour span, cops said.<\/p>\n
