On Wednesday, the Yankees were dealt a blow when it was announced that Aaron Judge<\/a> is going to miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a stress fracture in his ribs. While Judge had struggled somewhat before the diagnosis of his injury, which was part of the issue, the Yankees\u2019 lineup was already sputtering a bit. Now, they\u2019re going to have to cope without their captain and best player.<\/p>\n

They have a chance to show that they\u2019re coping positively, as tonight they\u2019re set to open a series against the Red Sox<\/a>. Boston<\/a> hasn\u2019t been particularly strong this season, but the rivalry is the rivalry, and they\u2019d sure like to get one over on the Yankees.<\/p>\n

To try and get the weekend off to a good start, the Yankees will send Ryan Weathers<\/a> to the hill. Weathers had been on a pretty good run until his last start against the A\u2019s, but even then he still struck out 10 batters even when struggling in other aspects. We\u2019ll see how he does in his first taste of the rivalry.<\/p>\n

There aren\u2019t too many surprises in the first lineup since Judge hit the IL, with the recalled Spencer Jones getting the start in right field.<\/p>\n

Former Yankee Sonny Gray<\/a> will go for Boston, which will provide an added storyline to tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n
