\n\tAfter five years, Baby Keem<\/a> is back outside. The Ca$ino Tour invaded Brooklyn on Thursday night (June 4) ahead of the Las Vegas native\u2019s co-headlining performance this weekend at Governors Ball in Queens.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe North American leg kicked off in April and it\u2019s set to wrap up next week before Baby Keem heads to Europe. Keem had the 2,700 fans in attendance at a sold-out Brooklyn Paramount feeling like they each hit the euphoria of a slot machine jackpot or drew 21 during a hand at the blackjack table.<\/p>\n

\n\tTwo Phone Baby Keem delivered his Ca$ino album<\/a> in February, which found him peeling back the layers of his turbulent childhood and life story, while delving into the loss of his mother and grandmother, the latter of whom passed away last year. The album served as his first since 2021\u2019s The Melodic Blue and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tA Highsnobiety<\/a> interview with Baby Keem from Thursday gave fans a deeper look into why the \u201cFamily Ties\u201d rapper took an extended hiatus just when his career was taking off in a major way. Keem opened up about health issues that forced him to press pause and spend some time out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ll never be super public about what it was because I don\u2019t want that to be the narrative,\u201d the 25-year-old said. \u201cGoing through that was the hardest setback for me. You have all these [moments] where you\u2019re like, \u2018Damn, I really won\u2019t make music ever again.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t2026 has been a story of redemption for Keem as he picks up where he left off, and he felt the love in Brooklyn as if he were one of the borough\u2019s own. \u201cEvery time I come to Brooklyn, I get so much love,\u201d he told the crowd mid-show.<\/p>\n

\n\tKeem kicked off the Brooklyn paramount show around 9:45 p.m. ET and stepped to the stage in all-red threads, sitting perched atop the Ca$ino Tour stage like a watchful eye in the sky. The 25-year-old weaved in a mix of Ca$ino cuts with catalog classics like \u201cVent,\u201d \u201cFamily Ties\u201d and \u201c16,\u201d which still had juice with the frenetic crowd, before wrapping up just shy of 11 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

\tKnicks in Four<\/p>\n

\n\tNew York City has Knicks fever. With the Knicks on the precipice of capturing the franchise\u2019s first title in 53 years, the passion can\u2019t be escaped. It even seeped into the Brooklyn Paramount venue, as fans broke out into various \u201cKnicks in four\u201d and \u201cf\u2013k Trae Young\u201d chants throughout the night. Keem even joined in on the fun while shouting \u201cKnicks in four\u201d <\/a>as he brought back \u201cFamily Ties,\u201d which sent the crowd into a frenzy. <\/p>\n

\tAutographs for the Barricade<\/p>\n

\n\tKeem took a break from the action to hook up some of the diehard fans in the front row with autographs. He ended up signing a handful of vinyl, CDs and merch surrounding Ca$ino and The Melodic Blue. It was cool to see him take a moment of appreciation for those who lined up outside long before the doors opened at 7:30 p.m. ET as he continued to feed off the raucous crowd\u2019s energy all night. <\/p>\n

\t\u201cFamily Ties\u201d Still Rings Off<\/p>\n

\n\tFive years later, \u201cFamily Ties\u201d still has plenty of juice. The Keem and Kendrick Lamar collaboration drew the loudest crowd pop of the night, to the point Two Phone Baby Keem had to run the boisterous anthem (which cracked the Billboard Hot 100\u2019s<\/a> top 20) back a second time. \u201cI\u2019m about to lose my motherf\u2013kin\u2019 mind, Brooklyn,\u201d he proclaimed.<\/p>\n

\t\u2018We\u2019re Open Later Than You Think\u2019<\/p>\n

\n\tAt times, less can be more. Baby Keem\u2019s stage design is simple, but gets the job done efficiently. He bounces from being perched 20 feet above the crowd to becoming eye-level with his fans. A \u201cCasino\u201d sign lit up the smoky stage while visuals showcased various gambling-related phrases that could double as a fit for his show. A solo dancer pops up to join him for various tracks and her colorful outfit looks more like she\u2019s ready for a trip to Carnival. <\/p>\n

\tAn Emotional Finish<\/p>\n

\n\tBaby Keem peeled back the layers of his life story with Ca$ino, which saw him detail his turbulent childhood amid his mother\u2019s battle with drug addiction. \u201cNo Blame\u201d closes the album, so it\u2019s fitting the sobering track finished the show as well. The track finds Keem lifting decades of his resentment toward his mother off his shoulders as he gained a deeper understanding of her situation. Visuals showed heartfelt photos of Keem with his mother, as he paid tribute to his late parent.<\/p>\n
