New York City is feeling Knicks fever, so much so that some fans are bleeding orange and blue \u2013 literally. <\/p>\n
Employees at Live by the Sword Tattoo in Williamsburg said they\u2019re seeing an uptick in Knicks tattoos.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe interest has really started to peak, five [to] 10 a day, maybe on the upside,\u201d said tattoo artist Adam Korothy. <\/p>\n
Korothy said that, yes, the ink is permanent, but so is the heartbreak of the Knicks’ past. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou know what the \u201880s and the 2000s were like,\u201d said Korothy. \u201cSo, if that isn\u2019t permanent, I don\u2019t know what is.\u201d <\/p>\n
Wesley Cooper said he has been rooting for the Knicks for as long as he can remember, and his family\u2019s fandom runs deep. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s in our blood,\u201d said Cooper. <\/p>\n
The Brooklyn native visited the shop on Friday. <\/p>\n
Cooper got a tattoo on his left shin of a shaded, black and gray Knicks logo with the Empire State Building. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been a fan in the worst of times, so there\u2019s not anything that anybody could say or do that\u2019s going to make me be like, \u2018Oh, this was not a good idea,\u2019 or like, \u2018Oh, I don’t like it anymore,\u2019\u201d said Cooper. <\/p>\n
He said the tattoo is worth it during a championship run like this. <\/p>\n
