A downed tree that fell at 3081 Decatur Avenue on Saturday evening, June 6, between East 204th Street and Mosholu Parkway in Norwood, is currently blocking the street from vehicular traffic.<\/p>\n

The tree trunk did not appear to break but fell over after it uprooted.<\/p>\n

Residents said there were no injuries to their knowledge but some cars do appear to have incurred some damage, including a broken side mirror.<\/p>\n

Residents said emergency services have been notified and are currently on scene. The sidewalk is passable but the street is currently cordoned off.<\/p>\n

Residents said the forestry unit had recently inspected the trees on the block and apparently no major issues were raised.<\/p>\n

Norwood News has reached out to the Parks department for comment.<\/p>\n
