NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>It is a difficult task against powerhouse Alabama, which improved to 4-0 in the NCAA Tournament and 24-6 at home.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Storm are making their first appearance in the Super Regionals since 2012. <\/p>\n<p>Their run to the NCAA Tournament marked their second trip in three years to the postseason after a six-year drought.<\/p>\n<p>Fay limited St. John\u2019s (35-25) to two hits over 7 \u00b9\/\u2083 innings. <\/p>\n<p>He struck out nine and walked three. <\/p>\n<p>The Red Storm\u2019s best chance against Fay came in the seventh. <\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.77777778;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39603795\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/sju-main-2.jpg\" alt=\"Shaun McMillan is pictured during an April 2026 game for St. John's.\" class=\"wp-image-39603795\"  \/>Shaun McMillan is pictured during an April 2026 game for St. John\u2019s.
