Before Game 3 on Monday night, Mamdani, in an interview with \u201cThe Athletic,\u201d<\/a> stated that seeing the Knicks reach the NBA Finals after a 27-year wait means a lot to the city and its fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis moment means everything for so many across the city,\u201d Mamdani said in the interview.<\/p>\n
