{"id":25907,"date":"2025-11-02T15:29:19","date_gmt":"2025-11-02T15:29:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/25907\/"},"modified":"2025-11-02T15:29:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T15:29:19","slug":"buckingham-palace-confirms-plan-for-late-queens-corgis-after-andrew-stripped-of-title-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/25907\/","title":{"rendered":"Buckingham Palace confirms plan for late Queen\u2019s corgis after Andrew stripped of title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/buckingham-palace\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Buckingham Palace;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Buckingham Palace<\/a> has confirmed that the late Queen Elizabeth II&#8217;s beloved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/corgis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:corgis;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">corgis<\/a>, Muick and Sandy, will remain in the care of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The couple adopted the dogs following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/monarch\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:monarch;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">monarch<\/a>&#8216;s death, housing them at Royal Lodge. Every morning they come in and go \u2018woof woof\u2019 and all that and I\u2019m sure it\u2019s her talking to me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI\u2019m sure it\u2019s her, reminding me she\u2019s still around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">And in 2023, Sarah described how one of the corgis, Muick, had grieved after the late Queen\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Speaking to Graeme Hall, presenter of the Channel 5 show Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly, Sarah said it took Muick about a year to come to terms with Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Queen Elizabeth II arrives at King's Cross railway station in London 15 October 1969 with her four dogs of Corgis breed after holidays in Balmoral Castle in Scotland and before welcoming at Buckingham Palace US astronauts of Apollo 11 who walked on the Moon.
