STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 It\u2019s going to be quite the busy weekend across New York City.<\/p>\n
Several scheduled events are expected to result in road closures that could impact travel for residents making their way throughout the five boroughs.<\/p>\n
One such event slated to take place on Saturday is the 8th Avenue Midtown Fair. This event is expected to shut down an extensive stretch of 8th Avenue in Manhattan.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the Philippine Independence Day Celebration Parade will close several streets in Manhattan for a period of time.<\/p>\n
As noted in an advisory from the NYPD, the closures will be at the discretion of police.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a look at the upcoming road closures:<\/p>\n
Saturday, June 68th Avenue Midtown Fair in Manhattan<\/p>\n
This event will take place on 8th Avenue between 42nd Street and 55th Street.<\/p>\n
2026 (NYRR) Mastercard New York Mini 10K in Manhattan<\/p>\n
Formation will take place in Central Park West between 95th Street and 88th Street.<\/p>\n
The route will run along Central Park West between 66th Street and West 88th Street.<\/p>\n
Dispersal will take place on Central Park West between 71st Street and West 72nd Street.<\/p>\n
St. Nicholas Avenue Fair in Manhattan<\/p>\n
The fair will take place on St Nicholas Avenue between 181st Street and 188th Street.<\/p>\n
Turtle Bay Festival in Manhattan<\/p>\n
The festival will take place on Lexington Avenue between 42nd Street and 54th Street.<\/p>\n
LIC Waterfront 5K in Queens<\/p>\n
Formation will take place on Center Boulevard between Borden Avenue and 50th Avenue.<\/p>\n
