Knicks<\/a> guard Jose Alvarado went head-first into the first row of fans \u2014 directly into former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg while trying to retrieve a loose ball during Tuesday night\u2019s Game 3 of the NBA Finals.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 84-year-old looked a little shaken up afterwards, but appeared otherwise unscathed.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred early in the fourth quarter with the Knicks down to the San Antonio Spurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alvarado, who hails from Brooklyn<\/a>, put his arms around Bloomberg and patted him on the chest after the collision.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot, 179-pound point guard seemed to ask the former mayor if he was OK after being knocked over.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg is 5-foot-7-inches and 165 pounds, his doctor revealed in December 2019, after President Trump teased the then-Democratic presidential candidate by referring to him as \u201cMini Mike\u201d<\/a> and claiming the former mayor was only 5\u20194\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg served as mayor of New York from 2002 to 2013.<\/p>\n

Game 3 \u2013 the\u00a0 first home finals for the Knicks since 1999 \u2013 brought a host of celebrities and pols to Madison Square Garden. <\/p>\n

Trump, a guest of Knicks owner James Dolan, watched the game with several administration officials and family members from an MSG suite.<\/p>\n
