{"id":260935,"date":"2026-06-09T19:48:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T19:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/260935\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T19:48:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T19:48:53","slug":"teen-stabbed-tuesday-afternoon-following-arguement-outside-brooklyn-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/260935\/","title":{"rendered":"Teen stabbed Tuesday afternoon following arguement outside Brooklyn school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 17-year-old female student was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amny.com\/new-york\/five-stabbed-penn-station-06072026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">stabbed<\/a> multiple times outside of a Brooklyn school on Tuesday afternoon, police reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to law enforcement sources, the incident took place at around 12:30 p.m. on June 9 near the El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice, a NYC public high school located at 250 Hooper St. in Williamsburg.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told amNewYork the student was stabbed multiple times in the leg and arm following a dispute at the location. EMS rushed to the location and brought the victim to NYU Langone-Cobble Hill Hospital, where she was treated for non-critical injuries. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypd90pct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">90th Precinct<\/a> responded to the scene; officers recovered a weapon at the crime scene, but police could not yet confirm what the weapon was.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said one person is in custody, but they could not yet say if the suspect is a student at the school or the motive for the attack.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a spokesperson for NYC Public Schools sent a statement to amNewYork saying school staff and safety agents responded to the emergency.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis senseless act of violence is deeply troubling and will not be tolerated. School staff and Safety Agents immediately responded, following all safety protocols,\u201d the spokesperson said. \u201cThankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported.
