{"id":261022,"date":"2026-06-09T20:48:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T20:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/261022\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T20:48:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T20:48:07","slug":"girl-17-stabbed-multiple-times-with-knife-at-brooklyn-peace-academy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/261022\/","title":{"rendered":"Girl, 17, stabbed multiple times with knife at Brooklyn \u2018Peace Academy\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 17-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times in her leg and arm with a kitchen knife after an argument at a Brooklyn public high school Tuesday, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The student was attacked inside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schools.nyc.gov\/schools\/K685\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice<\/a>, on Hooper St. near Marcy Ave. in Williamsburg, around 12:20 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Police recovered a kitchen knife at the scene, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Medics rushed the teen to <a href=\"http:\/\/NYU Langone-Cobble Hill emergency room\" rel=\"nofollow\">NYU Langone-Cobble Hill<\/a>, where she is expected to survive.<\/p>\n<p>A person of interest was taken into custody, but no charges had been filed as of Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The NYC Department of Education is investigating, according to a spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis senseless act of violence is deeply troubling and will not be tolerated,\u201d said Department of Education spokesperson Isla Gething. \u201cSchool staff and Safety Agents immediately responded, following all safety protocols. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported.
