On June 1, the 23-time Grand Slam winner announced her return to pro tennis. Today, she’ll compete in the Queen’s Club Championships as a wildcard doubles entry with new parter Victoria Mboko.

“Grass has given me some of the most meaningful moments of my career, and I’m excited to be back competing on one of the sport’s most iconic stages,” Williams said in a statement announcing her appearance at Queen’s.

Williams and Mboko, a 19-year old rising Canadian star, will face off in the first round of Queen’s Club against No. 3 ranked Erin Routliffe of New Zealand and Nicole Melichar-Martinez of the United States.

In addition to Queen’s, Williams has already confirmed that she will compete in doubles at the upcoming Berlin Open, and has not ruled out a return to singles.

When is Serena Williams’ comeback match?

Serena Williams and Victoria Mboko make their Queen’s Club debuts today, June 9. Angela keeps readers up to date with cord-cutter-friendly deals, and information on how to watch your favorite sports teams, TV shows, and movies on every streaming service. Not only does Angela test and compare the streaming services she writes about to ensure readers are getting the best prices, but she’s also a superfan specializing in the intersection of shopping, tech, sports, and pop culture. When she’s not writing about (or watching) TV, movies, and sports, she’s also keeping up on the underrated perfume dupes at Bath & Body Works and testing headphones. Prior to joining Decider and The New York Post in 2023, she wrote about streaming and consumer tech at Insider Reviews.

New York Post may be compensated and/or receive an affiliate commission if you click or buy through our…

[37
30841,9,24,63,59537,21130,122,124,123,82657,79755
post-261651","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-queens","tag-directv","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-queens-club-championships","tag-queens-club","tag-queens","tag-queens-headlines","tag-queens-news","tag-serena-williams","tag-victoria-mboko
["GET
