MANHATTAN, IL \u2014 A Manhattan man was arrested following a shots fired incident late Tuesday night, police said. The man allegedly fired approximately a dozen shots from a moving vehicle, police said. <\/p>\n
On June 8, officers were dispatched to the area of Brynn and Brett drives around 10:30 p.m., for a report of shots fired. During the investigation and while speaking with witnesses, officers located 16 spent shell casings in the street. <\/p>\n
Through the course of the investigation, police learned that Aiden Valera, 18, fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle. No one was struck by the gunfire, police said. <\/p>\n
Valera was located and arrested, police said. The firearm was also later found at a home in New Lenox. <\/p>\n
Valera did not have a valid FOID card, according to police reports. He was charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm. <\/p>\n
