For New Jersey pizza lovers, the idea of Brooklyn Square Pizza going kosher might sound like a pretty big deal.<\/p>\n
Well, sort of.<\/p>\n
The beloved Jersey pizza chain isn\u2019t converting all of its locations. You can still grab the same sesame-seed-crusted pies and upside-down squares at its existing restaurants.<\/p>\n
Instead, Brooklyn Square Pizza just opened its first kosher location in Ocean Township, where the menu will follow kosher dietary rules and operate separately from the company\u2019s traditional stores. You\u2019ll find them at 56 Monmouth Road.<\/p>\n

The move came about after years of requests from members of Monmouth County\u2019s large Orthodox Jewish community, according to reports.<\/p>\n
Ocean Township and neighboring communities have seen a growing demand for kosher dining options, making the area a natural fit for the expansion. The kosher restaurant will feature many of Brooklyn Square\u2019s signature offerings while meeting kosher certification requirements.<\/p>\n

The chain has grown from its roots into multiple New Jersey locations, including Jackson, Manalapan and Toms River.<\/p>\n Brooklyn Square has become one of those Jersey pizza success stories that people argue about with almost religious intensity. In New Jersey, people get nervous enough when a pizza place changes its logo. Imagine telling them you\u2019re changing the recipe.
