David Beckham is preparing for one of the biggest honors of his career this week, but reports suggest his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, will not be there to celebrate with him. The former soccer star is set to receive a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, while ongoing tensions within the Beckham family continue to attract attention.

Brooklyn Beckham to reportedly snub David Beckham’s Walk of Fame honor with Victoria present

On Friday, the former England captain will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. It is to recognize his influence on sports, entertainment, and popular culture. Beckham is expected to attend the ceremony alongside his wife, Victoria Beckham. Also, longtime friend Tom Cruise is expected to take part in the celebration.

The recognition comes at a significant time for soccer in the United States. In fact, the country is hosting the FIFA World Cup. Undoubtedly, David Beckham continues to serve as one of the sport’s most recognizable global ambassadors. Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said Beckham’s efforts to raise soccer’s profile in America made the honor especially fitting.

Despite living only a short distance away in Beverly Hills, Brooklyn Beckham reportedly will not attend the ceremony. Sources told Page Six that Brooklyn has remained estranged from his parents. Plus, he has had little contact with them for well over a year. According to one insider, his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, could further complicate the situation, even if he wanted to attend.

“Even if he did want to see them at the Walk of Fame, Nicola would not take too kindly to it,” the source claimed. However, another insider insisted that Brooklyn himself is driving the separation. “Two things can be true; Nicola can be difficult, and Brooklyn does not want to see his parents,” the source said.

The reported rift between Brooklyn and the rest of the Beckham family has become increasingly public in recent years. According to reports, tensions escalated around David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations when Brooklyn and Nicola traveled to London. However, they chose not to attend the family event.
