Police are asking for the public\u2019s help to identity a suspect they say opened fire inside of a Cypress Hills residential building on Sept. 25.<\/p>\n
They say it happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Essex Street and Folsom Place. The man seen in images released by police firing gunshots into a 29-year-old woman’s apartment on the upper floors. <\/p>\n
Police say no one was harmed. The suspect ran out of the building shortly after. <\/p>\n
Residents who asked to be anonymous told News 12 that entering the building requires a password or key fob. They hope the man does not return. <\/p>\n
“It’s scary to know someone can walk in and do that, and this is a new building \u2013 two years old,” said one resident.<\/p>\n
The incident left a bullet hole in the door that is still there today. <\/p>\n
The suspect is described as a male in his 20s or 30s, with dark complexion and a slim build.
