King Charles<\/a> has officially stripped his brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor<\/a>, of all his Royal titles this week and evicted him from his Royal Lodge residence.<\/p>\n

The 76-year-old monarch reportedly wants Andrew completely removed from the Royal circle, as the former prince has been a distraction to the monarchy’s work.<\/p>\n

However, while King Charles may not have hesitated in making such a decisive move, one Royal expert believes it’s something the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> couldn’t have done due to her close relationship with Andrew, who was allegedly her “favorite child”.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk<\/a>, Royal commentator Afua Hagan stated that King Charles did the “right thing” by formally removing Andrew’s titles.<\/p>\n

She also expressed it’s a “shame” that the late Queen didn’t take this action during her reign when scandals surrounding Andrew and his past friendship with the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein first surfaced.<\/p>\n

Hagan continued: “I don’t believe the late Queen would have made such a move; I think she had the opportunity to do so but didn’t, which is truly regrettable.”<\/p>\n

Andrew has been out of the public eye since the surprising announcement from Buckingham Palace last Thursday.<\/p>\n

He is reportedly maintaining a low profile at his Royal Lodge residence, which he is expected to vacate in the coming months.<\/p>\n
