The union showed that they will not stand for management\u2019s unacceptable counteroffers on salary\u2014including a proposed $3,000 raise across the board, which doesn\u2019t even keep pace with inflation, and an unlivable $61,000 starting salary for support staff.<\/p>\n<p>With only 27 days until the contract expires, time is ticking for management to make reasonable counter offers.
