{"id":264889,"date":"2026-06-12T20:42:50","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T20:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/264889\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T20:42:50","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T20:42:50","slug":"opening-arguments-in-brooklyn-murder-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/264889\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening Arguments in Brooklyn Murder Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tJune 12<br \/>\n\t\u2014<\/p>\n<p>\t\tCalista Sybrant\n<\/p>\n<p>Opening statements were presented June 11 in the trial of <a href=\"https:\/\/baltimorewitness.org\/?s=ronald+hall\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ronald Hall<\/a>, 49, a man charged with the shooting and killing of <a href=\"https:\/\/baltimorewitness.org\/?s=albert+manning\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Albert Manning<\/a>, 37, on May 11, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Hall\u2019s case is being argued before Baltimore City Circuit Court <a href=\"https:\/\/msa.maryland.gov\/msa\/mdmanual\/31cc\/html\/msa14011.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Judge Althea M. Handy<\/a>, and he is charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of firearm use in a felony violent crime and two counts of firearm possession with a felony conviction. Manning was found deceased outside on the <a href=\"https:\/\/baltimorewitness.org\/?s=3500+block+of+2nd+street\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3500 block of 2nd Street<\/a> in the  South Baltimore Brooklyn neighborhood with three gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Hall was allegedly in the area between 4 a. m.-and-5 a.m., before going home for 10 minutes and then returning to the area of the crime scene. A 911 call went out around 6:45 a.m., when a bystander saw Manning on the ground. <\/p>\n<p>Defense attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/baltimorewitness.org\/?s=natalie+A.+finegar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Natalie A.
