David Beckham<\/a> is refusing to talk about his ongoing drama with son Brooklyn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with Variety<\/a>, the 51-year-old retired soccer pro shut down a question about his estrangement from his 27-year-old son.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, I\u2019m sorry to stop you there, but that\u2019s a private matter,\u201d David told the journalist. \u201cThat\u2019s the one thing that I don\u2019t want to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday, June 12, David was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/a>. While wife Victoria Beckham<\/a> and their three younger children were in attendance, Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz skipped the event.<\/p>\n

If you did not see, in January, Brooklyn released a lengthy statement about his family issues<\/a> and explained why he doesn\u2019t want to repair his broken relationship with famous parents.<\/p>\n

David and Victoria, 52, have largely stayed silent on the estrangement, but rumors that there had been a rift had been ongoing for quite some time. In a recent interview, Victoria shared her first public comments about the drama.<\/p>\n
