Friends of David<\/a> and Victoria Beckham<\/a> have hit back at claims from son Brooklyn Beckham<\/a> that they are using his younger sister as a pawn in the family\u2019s ongoing feud.<\/p>\n

It comes after the youngest Beckham, 14-year-old daughter Harper<\/a>, was photographed arriving at her eldest brother\u2019s Los Angeles home<\/a> last week with a handwritten letter.<\/p>\n

While neither Brooklyn<\/a>, 27, nor his wife Nicola Peltz<\/a>, 31, were home, the couple\u2019s rep released a statement accusing his family of setting it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all \u2013 this was choreographed for the cameras,\u201d they said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In response, friends close to David and Victoria told the Daily Mail<\/a> that was a \u201cnasty accusation\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.\u201d<\/p>\n

The friends also claimed Brooklyn had not accepted contact from Harper or his grandparents since the fallout<\/a>, which began publicly when Brooklyn released a scathing statement denouncing his parents and \u201cbrand Beckham\u201d in January.<\/p>\n

His parents and three siblings \u2013 Romeo<\/a>, 23, Cruz<\/a>, 21, and Harper \u2013 were in Los Angeles for the unveiling of David\u2019s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.<\/p>\n

The absence of Brooklyn was obvious, so much so that a reporter asked David about the toll of the family fallout.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, I\u2019m sorry to stop you there, but that\u2019s a private matter. That\u2019s the one thing that I don\u2019t want to talk about,\u201d the star told Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, in the same interview he also gushed about having \u201cfour incredible kids\u201d and said his family was his priority. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut we always make time for each other, and we always have. I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa,\u201d Beckham said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s our priority, and that\u2019s what makes it work when you\u2019ve been together for so long.
