NEW YORK (1010 WINS) \u2014 The decomposing body of a woman in her 70s was found floating in a pond at a Queens park on Sunday evening, and police are investigating.<\/p>\n
A witness spotted the body in the kettle pond at Browne Park in Flushing and called it in. When authorities arrived at about 5:45 p.m., they checked the body, found the woman unresponsive and pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.<\/p>\n
It was not immediately clear how long the woman had been in the water. Her identity has not yet been released.<\/p>\n
The medical examiner will determine cause of death. An investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
