One hundred years of being a heart of Forest Hills Gardens. For a century, this institution has been a place for connection, family and shared memories, but as any owner of a historic property will tell you, 100 years of history comes with 100 years of wear and tear,” Stolz said. “As with any historic restoration, the moment you open up the walls, or in our case, demolish the pool’s finishes, the building reveals its secrets. We didn’t just have a pool problem, we discovered a major rubble infiltration issue permeating our 100-year-old foundation. The pool project suddenly became a massive waterproof project.”

(Left to right) Community House Board Chair John Stolz, former Community House Executive Board Member Lily Zivkovic and Community House Director Dave Murphy.
