If you\u2019ve ever gone to a Vikings game and had a hankering for pasta and meatballs, you\u2019re in luck \u2014 a Brooklyn Park restaurateur is bringing his homemade Italian fare to U.S. Bank Stadium.<\/p>\n
Jim Stone, who owns Sweet Taste of Italy<\/a> in Brooklyn Park, also owns a line of food trucks called Kenny\u2019s Meatball Wagon.<\/p>\n He\u2019s opening a brick-and-mortar Kenny\u2019s Meatball Wagon<\/a> booth at U.S. Bank Stadium, serving football fans, as well as concert-goers and other special event attendees.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re just going to try and push out what we can fast, you know? Meatballs and garlic bread and sandwiches,\u201d Stone said. \u201cWe\u2019re obviously not going to be doing double mega meals at U.S. Bank Stadium, but yeah, we\u2019ll keep it simple for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n Their food truck is also getting a long-term home at the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee.<\/p>\n Stone says that even though they will be busy off-site, you\u2019ll find the same Italian classics at their Brooklyn Park home.<\/p>\n \u201cThis restaurant, we\u2019ve been here for 24 years, and we\u2019ve got a really good crew, so while I\u2019m away with my brother, dealing with the food truck and all that, we\u2019ve got some really cool staff that can handle this while we\u2019re away,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Fun fact: Sweet Taste of Italy has now sold 14 million loaves of garlic bread and seven million meatballs.<\/p>\n See also: Sweet Taste of Italy Serves Crystal Again in Kenny\u2019s Meatball Wagon Food Truck<\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
