Children debuted their costumes and enjoyed a rock wall, a carnival ride, Halloween-themed games and a plastic pumpkin decorating activity at the event, which was hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/shopgreatneck.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Business Improvement District of Great Neck Plaza<\/a>. The district was planning on bringing in a bouncy castle and a maze, but the wind prevented this from happening.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-331065 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_0528-e1762132518457.jpg\" alt=\"Attendees of all ages enjoyed a swinging carnival ride at the event.\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\"  \/>Attendees of all ages enjoyed a swinging carnival ride at the event.Hannah Resnick<\/p>\n<p>This marks the first time in years the event was held on the day of Halloween, according to Marnie Ives, president of the Business Improvement District. Usually, the district hosts the event on a Sunday, but because Halloween this year was on a Friday rather than a \u201cschool night,\u201d they chose to do it on the actual holiday. This made it \u201ca lot better,\u201d Ives said, as it was possible for kids to attend after trick-or-treating on Middle Neck Road, where storefronts gave out candy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-331066\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_0529.jpg\" alt=\"Ezra, 3, showed off his Halloween candy.\" width=\"473\" height=\"700\"  \/>Ezra, 3, showed off his Halloween candy.Hannah Resnick<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you have it on a Sunday, kids have soccer and parties and all the other things, and you\u2019re competing with that, and their parents have to put them in their costume for another day,\u201d Ives said. \u201cSo this is like the day is one and done.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ives\u2019 gourmet chocolate store, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kronchocolatier.com\/?srsltid=AfmBOop7Etf2VUNpen1hyWw_Xn64P904dH7Rv-uio7C25WCT8AOJA5jm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kron Chocolatier<\/a>, was among several businesses that gave out treats. <\/p>\n<p>Attendees enjoyed getting together to celebrate with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longislandpress.com\/2025\/10\/27\/kings-point-park-alienation-request-withdrawn-offer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Great Neck<\/a> community.
