Jonathan Spector<\/a> (Eureka Day<\/a>)’s\u00a0Birthright<\/a> begins its New York premiere run Off-Broadway via MCC Theater<\/a> June 16, playing the company’s Newman Mills Theater. Opening night will be June 29, with the run set to continue through July 26. Teddy Bergman<\/a> directs.<\/p>\n

The work is about a group reuniting nearly two decades after a shared Birthright trip to Israel. The work was commissioned and premiered by Miami New Drama, and MCC\u2019s run is produced by special arrangement with Jenny Gersten<\/a>, Fourth Wall Theatricals<\/a>, and Sonia Friedman Productions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The cast features Hale Appleman (The Magicians), Molly Bernard<\/a> (Younger), Eli Gelb<\/a> (Stereophonic<\/a>),\u00a0Liz Larsen<\/a> (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical<\/a>), Nate Mann<\/a> (Masters of the Air), Molly Ranson<\/a> (Prayer for the French Republic),\u00a0and Zo\u00eb Winters (Succession). Casting is by The Telsey Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The staging features scenic design by Scott Pask<\/a>, costume design by Clint Ramos<\/a>, lighting design by Natasha Katz<\/a>, sound design by Lee Kinney<\/a>, projection design by David Bengali<\/a>, wig, and hair design by Robert Pickens<\/a>, makeup design by Nikoletta Skarlatos, intimacy coordination by Alicia Rodis, voice and text coaching by Gigi Buffington<\/a>, and prop supervision by Samantha Shoffner<\/a>. Charles M. Turner III serves as production stage manager, and Nicole Johnson of Harriet Tubman Effect is the DEI consultant.<\/p>\n
