{"id":268558,"date":"2026-06-16T15:47:51","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T15:47:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/268558\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T15:47:51","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T15:47:51","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-aldi-mac-and-cheese-recalled-due-to-potential-undeclared-allergen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/268558\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Aldi Mac And Cheese Recalled Due To Potential Undeclared Allergen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The Food and Drug Administration is recalling a brand of macaroni and cheese exclusively sold at Aldi.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The product, Park St. Deli, is available at the grocery chain\u2019s locations nationwide.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">More than 500,000 packages of the food item have been pulled because they might contain soy lecithin, the FDA says.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">BEF Foods Inc., the company that makes the product, first initiated a recall in March, but it was only deemed a <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=98714\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Class II Recall <\/a>on June 10.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">This particular allergen is a food additive linked to soybeans.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The pre-made refrigerated side dish comes in a 20-oz. container and has nine packages per case.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">So far, there have been no reported illnesses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Food and Drug Administration is recalling a brand of macaroni and cheese exclusively sold at Aldi.
