As I am sure you know, the 27-year-old star effectively broke the internet back in January, when he posted a dramatic six-post Instagram statement<\/a> slamming his family after a year of speculation that all was not well between him and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham<\/a>, and his parents and siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.\"Darren<\/p>\n

You can read a full recap of the entire feud here<\/a>, but in the public posts, Brooklyn claimed that he had been “controlled” by his parents for “most” of his life, which left him with “overwhelming anxiety.” He added that David and Victoria value public promotion and endorsements above all else, writing: “Brand Beckham comes first. Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”\"Brooklyn<\/p>\n

In addition, Brooklyn claimed that his whole family had been “consistently” disrespectful toward Nicola, and have been trying to ruin their relationship. Victoria was also singled out as Brooklyn claimed that she had “hijacked” his and Nicola’s first dance<\/a> at their wedding by dancing “very inappropriately on” him. He said: “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”\"Karwai<\/p>\n

Showcasing his loyalty to Nicola, Brooklyn defiantly stated that he has absolutely no intention of reconciling with his family. Prior to Brooklyn’s statement, it was widely reported<\/a> that Brooklyn had sent a legal letter to his parents last summer “requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers, as an attempt to try and make amends privately instead of publicly,” and that them still posting about him on Instagram after this is what led to him blocking his family on social media. David and Victoria maintained a dignified silence in response to Brooklyn’s outburst, and when Victoria was asked about her eldest son in an interview with the Wall Street Journal<\/a> back in April, she avoided getting into specifics. She told the publication at the time: “I think that we’ve always \u2014 we love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. Meanwhile, when David was asked about the situation in an interview with Variety<\/a> earlier this month, he shut down the question, calling it a “private matter.”\"Megan<\/p>\n

Still, the feud has been back in the headlines after David received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star last week and Brooklyn skipped the ceremony \u2014 despite living about 20 minutes away. Victoria and their three youngest children were proudly there to support the soccer pro at the West Hollywood event.\"Frazer<\/p>\n

While the family was in LA, Brooklyn’s 14-year-old sister, Harper, was spotted<\/a> dropping a letter at Brooklyn and Nicola’s home, with the teen pictured leaving the property soon after she arrived. While he did not specifically comment on her visit, Brooklyn later revealed in his Instagram stories that he was in New York when Harper showed up at his home. It’s worth noting that Brooklyn previously publicly ignored<\/a> Harper’s sweet olive branch.\"Wwd<\/p>\n

That brings us up to this week, where Brooklyn’s teaser video<\/a> for his upcoming campaign with food delivery service DoorDash sparked backlash. In the short clip, which he posted to his Instagram account on Monday, Brooklyn quips: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home.”\"BrooklynHe then laughs to himself before smiling at the camera and pointedly saying: “It’s a long story,” as he throws his tickets to a match down on the table. The tagline: “It’s complicated” then comes up on the screen.\"BrooklynNeedless to say, his dad’s incredibly strong ties to soccer, coupled with Brooklyn’s apparent reference to his choice to be alone in his house, have rubbed people the wrong way, with many arguing that the ad is in bad taste as they flocked to the Instagram post’s comment section. One popular comment reads: “When you have to keep having digs at your family to stay relevant.””This is tasteless,” another wrote. Somebody else added: “No hate just observation\u2026..if you hate them so much drop the name and stop profiting from association.” One more asked: “How do you think your sister feels seeing this \ud83d\ude22”\"Brooklyn<\/p>\n
