The spot ends with the words \u201cIt\u2019s complicated. More soon\u201d on the screen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">David Beckham is one of the most famous soccer players of his generation and played in three World Cups for England. It does not need to. The World Cup setting, the unused tickets and the \u201clong story\u201d line point directly at the family story that has followed him for months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">DoorDash\u2019s ad works because it borrows from Brooklyn\u2019s current public image. Instead of ignoring the feud coverage, the teaser turns it into the premise.<\/p>\n<p>The Timing Made the Clip Louder<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The ad arrived shortly after David received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Victoria Beckham and the couple\u2019s children Romeo, Cruz and Harper attended the ceremony, while Brooklyn was absent. TMZ reported that David posed with Victoria, Harper, Romeo, Cruz and longtime friend Tom Cruise during the event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Extra reported that David avoided a direct question about the family drama at the ceremony, telling Variety, \u201cThat\u2019s a private matter. That\u2019s the one thing that I don\u2019t want to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In his speech, David still referred warmly to his children.
