Alicia Keys will perform<\/a> at City Hall to wind down the Knicks championship celebration on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow could I not?\u201d Keys said<\/a> in an Instagram chat with Knicks star OG Anunoby when asked if she\u2019d attend the team\u2019s parade. \u201cThis is my city and the city is on fire.\u201d<\/p>\n

ABC7 reports that the Hell\u2019s Kitchen native will sing her omnipresent 2009 anthem \u201cEmpire State of Mind<\/a>,\u201d which she recorded with Jay-Z<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The festivities<\/a> get underway at Bowling Green around 10 a.m. The freshly crowned NBA champs will make their way through Broadway\u2019s \u201cCanyon of Heroes\u201d surrounded by fans who last saw the Knicks win a title in 1973.<\/p>\n

Pens accommodating revelers will open at 6 a.m. along the route. The parade is open to the public, though the City Hall celebration is a ticketed event.<\/p>\n

Keys is selling<\/a> an \u201corange limited edition vinyl\u201d version of the song through Thursday. The single\u2019s B-side features an acoustic version of her 2007 hit \u201cNo One<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keys and her go-to tune is well-known to New York City basketball fans. She showed up in the Liberty locker room<\/a> to sing \u201cEmpire State of Mind\u201d before the team won the 2024 WNBA championship.<\/p>\n

The Grammy Award-winning song<\/a> appeared on Jay-Z\u2019s \u201cThe Blueprint 3<\/a>\u201d album. It features a line rapped by Jay-Z saying \u201cSittin\u2019 courtside, Knicks and Nets give me high five.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not known if Jay-Z will attend Thursday\u2019s parade.<\/p>\n

The Knicks clinched their third NBA championship Saturday in Texas, defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the fifth game of the series. That game was preceded by an historic Madison Square Garden showdown the saw the Knicks erase a 29-point deficit<\/a> in front of a star-studded home crowd<\/a> that included Spike Lee, Taylor Swift, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Larry David and Adam Sandler.<\/p>\n

Keys\u2019 representative didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
