Here are the latest updates on some of the food assistance programs available in Central New York.<\/p>\n

A Syracuse food pantry is temporarily closed<\/p>\n

The Syracuse Northeast Community Center announced that their food pantry will be closed Monday.<\/p>\n

The food pantry did not have enough food to give out to residents, according to the Facebook post announcing the closure.<\/p>\n

&amp;nbsp;\n<\/p>\n

The community center accepts donations of non-perishable food items, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. They encourage those looking to make donations to call ahead of time to schedule a drop-off.<\/p>\n

The food pantry itself will reopen on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

Mobile Food Pantry Schedule<\/p>\n

While the federal government remains shut down, the Food Bank of Central New York has announced where its Mobile Food Pantry will be stopping around the region.<\/p>\n

The Mobile Food Pantry, or MFP, distributes boxes of fresh food to communities throughout Central New York.<\/p>\n

The MFP will be stopping at the following locations at the designated times.<\/p>\n

Central Square Middle School \u2014 Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m.
\nCummings Field in Eastwood\u00a0 \u2014 Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m.
\nCuyler Fire Department \u2014 Thursday, Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.
\nFirst Baptist Church \u2014 Friday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Mobile Food Pantry was launched in 2016 in Utica and looks to provide fresh foods to areas with limited access to food assistance programs.
