Clark says the driver responsible for a <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/nypd-identifies-victims-of-fatal-hunts-point-crash-that-left-2-others-hurt\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reckless crash in Hunts Point<\/a> was sentenced to several years in prison. The crash took the lives of a Rockland County teen and a Brooklyn man.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\"><a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/police-arrest-driver-in-bronx-crash-that-killed-brooklyn-man-rockland-county-teen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Enrique Lopez<\/a>, 25, of Queens, will serve 3 1\/3 to 10 years in prison for manslaughter in addition to 3 1\/2 years and 3 years post-release supervision for assault after <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/brooklyn.news12.com\/2026\/04\/28\/man-pleads-guilty-in-hunts-point-crash-that-killed-rockland-county-teen-brooklyn-man\/1TOtZ5YqTpCiO9BvNga0bY\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pleading guilty<\/a> to the Jan. 21, 2024, crash.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Prosecutors say Lopez lost control of his 2013 Chrysler 300 while doing stunts and slammed into a fuel truck just after 3 a.m., killing <a data-rich-text-hyperlink=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/wake-services-held-for-15-year-old-fatally-struck-in-car-crash\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sabrina Villa-Gomez-Gonzalez<\/a>, 15, and Gilvante Roberston, 21.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A third passenger, Aaliyah Torres, 17, also of Rockland County, was left fighting for her life.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;A 15-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man were killed and a 17-year-old girl&#8217;s life is now a battle with pain and suffering, because of the defendant&#8217;s reckless stunt driving in a car meet-up in Hunts Point,&#8221; said Clark.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Those stunts included spinning in circles steps away from bystanders, and going around 45 mph over the speed limit while driving the Chrysler, which investigators say was equipped with a stolen engine.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;His car slammed into a fuel oil truck, and it is fortunate that more lives were not ruined. I hope this sentence brings some consolation to the victim and to the families of the dead,&#8221; said Clark.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Bronx District Attorney Darcel D.
