If the city that never sleeps has actually rested since the New York Knicks\u2019 NBA Finals win<\/a> Saturday, that would be surprising. The Knicks\u2019 Championship Parade parade winds through New York City today, which is a perfect excuse to indulge in some local Big Apple treats.<\/p>\n

From Italian delis to New York-style pizza to chopped cheese, here\u2019s a selection of places to visit in Tampa Bay if you want to eat like you\u2019re in New York City.<\/p>\n

Bacon, Egg \u2018N Cheese\"\"<\/p>\n

This food trailer with three locations throughout Hillsborough County serves legit New York-style breakfast sandwiches. They hosted watch parties throughout the Knicks finals in downtown Tampa. They even had a Brunson Sandwich running as a special: fried egg, cheese, hashbrown, kaiser roll.<\/p>\n

Bagel Babe<\/p>\n

Bagel Babe is apparently the spot for a true boiled and baked New York City bagel. Many of my colleagues pointed to Bagel Babe for its authenticity \u2014 one source was even willing to drive out of her way to snag some of their wares. It\u2019s located inside the Foodie Labs at St. Pete\u2019s Warehouse Arts District.<\/p>\n

Bambino<\/p>\n

Bambino\u2019s has been slinging New York City-style pizza for over 20 years in Dunedin. A mother-and-daughter duo run this spot that also has calzones, pastas and Parmigiana subs.<\/p>\n

\"\"Brooklyn Pizza, Pasta and Diner<\/p>\n

This relative newcomer to Tampa\u2019s late-night dining scene in west Seminole Heights has a fairly large menu of Italian and diner classics. The chicken Parmigiana sub and patty melt are the real deal.<\/p>\n

China Wok<\/p>\n

Takeout New York City-style Chinese food, Cantonese-style, is what China Wok serves up. With multiple recommendations from around our newsroom, China Wok is the place for this style of food. Hot and sour soup, lo mein and kung pao chicken abound.<\/p>\n

\"\"Cousin Vinny\u2019s Sandwich Co.<\/p>\n

The Seminole Heights ghost kitchen turned Michelin-recommended New York-style sandwich shop has roots in Long Island, New York. Cousin Vinny\u2019s serves elevated chicken cutlet sandwiches<\/a> like That Louie with pesto aioli, roasted red peppers and mozzarella. The spot also serves house-baked Tuscan-style schiacciata bread with its wraps and cold combos. A location is soon to open in St. Pete.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll let senior food and dining critic Helen Freund weigh in on this spot, which made our newsroom\u2019s list of the best pizza<\/a> in Tampa Bay last year: \u201cArguably one of Tampa Bay\u2019s most beloved New York-style pizza spots, this restaurant is known for its classic, foldable slices. The secret is in the water: The owner trucks it in straight from New York\u2019s Catskills to go with the New York City flour, yeast, sauce and cheese.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frankie\u2019s Italian Deli<\/p>\n

Frankie\u2019s bleeds orange and blue, as the owners hail from Long Island. The Lucky Dill<\/p>\n

The Palm Harbor Jewish-style deli is known for its large sandwiches like pastrami and corned beef, and, of course, its pickles. Mimicking a deli the owners used to work at in Miami, Lucky Dill was born almost 40 years ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mays in downtown Tampa is a late-night go-to for many Tampe\u00f1os. Chicken and beef shawarma and falafel are on deck. When in Temple Terrace, check out Mays Alreem Pita House, the brick-and-mortar outpost.<\/p>\n

Their tagline is \u201cborn in New York and raised in Tampa,\u201d and it tastes like it. The family-owned pizzeria is a must-try if you want a slice of the Big Apple. New York, New York and Eddie & Sam\u2019s might be the most established and favored New York City-style pizzerias in Tampa.<\/p>\n

North 30th Pub & Grille<\/p>\n

North 30th is the home of the Tampa Bay Knicks Fans group<\/a>. It\u2019s a sports bar where guests were clad in so much orange and blue during its NBA Finals watch parties, it was easy to forget New York City was a long day\u2019s car trip north. The menu is vast, with chicken wings, burgers and seafood dinners.<\/p>\n

\"\"Sabrett hot dog stands<\/p>\n

When you see the blue and yellow umbrella and the bold block letters spelling Sabrett, you can bet there\u2019s a boiled New York City-style hot dog underneath it. While hard to track down, one has been spotted in downtown St. Petersburg and at the entrance to the St. Pete Pier. Wherever you spot one, go ahead and order a hot dog with spicy brown mustard, sauerkraut and the onion sauce.<\/p>\n

Ten Star Deli & Supermarket<\/p>\n

The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard store has a stacked deli and they do a bodega favorite: chopped cheese. The deli also offers gyros, wings and burgers and, with its long hours of 5 a.m.-11 p.m., you can grab breakfast, lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n

Sayroo\u2019s Bakery and Grocery<\/p>\n

For the West Indian and Caribbean contingent that populates New York City and Tampa Bay, Sayroo\u2019s has what you need. Chicken and beef patties, an assortment of curries and jerk chicken are available.<\/p>\n

Vinnie\u2019s Pies<\/p>\n

This pop-up has been garnering rave reviews from the Tampa Bay Times newsroom. Vinnie\u2019s offers New York City-style, Sicilian-style and grandma-style pies. Check its Instagram, @vinniespiesfl<\/a>, for locations.<\/p>\n

Zio\u2019s NY Bagels and Deli Co.<\/p>\n

Zio\u2019s comes highly recommended by one of my colleagues. Zio\u2019s was all in for the Knicks with blue and orange bagels and the Brunson bodega special.<\/p>\n
