Everybody wants to beat that rain, and we\u2019re here to keep going until the downpour, if there is one,\u201d said LaNiece Sirois, executive director of the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Organizers said they had roughly 1,700 pre-orders and planned for more than 3,000 shortcakes.
