The Broadway League<\/a>\u2019s Black to Broadway initiative, in partnership
\nwith Black Theatre United and BTC: Building The Change, presents the
\n sixth annual Broadway Celebrates Juneteenth concert June 19.<\/p>\n

The Great Gatsby<\/a>‘s Corbin Bleu<\/a> hosts the free outdoor
\nTimes Square concert that honors Black artistry,
\nculture, and unity. An all-Black cast of Broadway artists perform in the 90-minute event, which begins at 4 PM rain or shine. American
\nSign Language interpretation will be provided by Pro Bono ASL.<\/p>\n

The lineup includes Jisel Soleil Ayon<\/a> (Hamilton<\/a>), Bryson Battle<\/a> (Cats: The Jellicle Ball), Jaleel Battles, Jr. (Buena Vista Social Club<\/a>), Phoenix Best<\/a> (Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)<\/a>), Maya Boyd<\/a> (Joe Turner’s Come and Gone<\/a>), Anju Cloud<\/a> (Aladdin<\/a>), Savannah Commodore<\/a> (Joe Turner\u2019s Come and Gone), Jeffrey Cornelius<\/a> (Hadestown<\/a>), Olivia Donalson<\/a> (Six: The Musical), John Edwards (MJ), Kanisha Marie Feliciano<\/a> (Wicked<\/a>), Tr\u00e9 Frazier<\/a> (MJ), Kyle Freeman (Titan\u00edque<\/a>), Ta\u2019Nika Gibson (Ragtime<\/a>), Jana Larell Glover<\/a> (Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)), Donnie Hammond<\/a> (Moulin Rouge! The 2026 Juneteenth Legacy Award will
\n be presented to Tony nominee, Emmy winner, and Kennedy Center
\nHonoree Debbie Allen<\/a>, who directed the current Broadway revival of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. “Through
\n her extraordinary artistry, visionary
\nleadership, and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation,”
\n press note state, “Ms. Allen exemplifies the spirit of the Juneteenth
\nLegacy Award and the lasting influence of a true cultural trailblazer.”<\/p>\n

The creative and production teams include director and writer Matthew
\n Johnson Harris, music director Rashad McPherson<\/a>, executive producer
\nKendra Whitlock Ingram, stage manager Kamra A. Jacobs<\/a>, and general
\nmanager Bespoke Theatricals<\/a>, with creative consultants Black Theatre
\nUnited and BTC: Building the Change. <\/p>\n

All performances
\n will be accompanied by live music provided with help from The Music Performance Trust Fund and the Film Funds.<\/p>\n

The concert is held at Duffy Square in Times Square, located
\nbetween 46th and 47th Streets between Broadway and Seventh Avenue.<\/p>\n
