The media professionas forum described Edo Queens victory as a\u00a0 hard-fought and well-deserved victory at the just concluded 2026 NWFL Premiership Super Six playoffs in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.<\/p>\n
After a hard-fought campaign marked by excellence and resilience, Edo Queens FC proved their mettle by going ahead of other equally formidable challengers to clinch the title and a ticket to represent the nation at the continent for the second time.<\/p>\n
The Forum in a congratulatory message signed\u00a0 by it\u2019s Secretary Chinedu Charles urges the champions to carry Nigeria\u2019s flag with pride and resilience as they get ready to represent the nation at the WAFU-B Women\u2019s Zonal playoffs in Burkina Faso from August 13 \u2013 September 05 where they will be expected to secure ticket for the CAF Women\u2019s champions League and a potential route to the FiFA Women\u2019s Club World Cup.<\/p>\n
The Benin-based topflight team were the fourth best side in Africa in their first experience in the women CAF champions league in 2024.<\/p>\n
The Forum also commended other clubs who took part in the season\u2019s ending decisive playoffs for their commitment, competitive spirit, and sportsmanship throughout the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
