Alex De Minaur has spoke about the \u2018healthy competition\u2019 he has with girlfriend Katie Boulter ahead of his Queen\u2019s Club quarter-final. <\/p>\n
The Australian is into the last eight in London after two wins so far against Gabriel Diallo and Denis Shapovalov. <\/p>\n
This follows De Minaur\u2019s run to the final at \u2018s-Hertogenbosch before losing to Kamil Majchrzak in the final. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s been a great grass court season for De Minaur but will have his sights set on bigger prizes as he is the top seed at Queen\u2019s Club. <\/p>\n
Now, De Minaur is aiming to match the result of his girlfriend\u2019s after Katie Boulter reached the semi-finals of Queen\u2019s Club last week where she defeated Elena Rybakina in the quarter-finals before losing to eventual champion Donna Vekic in the semi-finals. <\/p>\n
Ahead of his quarter-final De Minaur is motivated to match his partner\u2019s result, \u201cIt\u2019s amazing. I think it brings out the best in each other,\u201d the Australian told the ATP website. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a little bit of that competitive nature in us where we both want to do better than each other, and it just brings out a healthy competition. It\u2019s the same way that now that I\u2019m playing here at Queen\u2019s, I\u2019ve got to do my best to try and at least match her performance. Because if not, I\u2019ll never hear the end of it. So that\u2019s my drive and motivation. Let\u2019s say that.\u201d<\/p>\n
