WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 Close to a million people are preparing to leave New York City if Democratic socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani becomes mayor, a new poll shows.<\/p>\n
A poll that was conducted by J.L. Partners for the Daily Mail <\/a>found that nine percent of New York City residents would \u201cdefinitely\u201d leave the city if Mamdani wins.<\/p>\n Nine percent is roughly 765,000 of New York residents. New York City has a population of 8.5 million.<\/p>\n More polling shows that 2.12 million residents of New York City would consider leaving if Mamdani has an election victory.<\/p>\n If 2.12 million residents leave the city, that would account for about 25% of New Yorkers.<\/p>\n Polling suggests Mamdani is expected to win the mayoral race on Nov. 4 as he is dominating his opponents, Curtis Sliwa and former Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo.<\/p>\n Last week, hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers voted early<\/a> in the election, as Mamdani\u2019s support continues to increase.<\/p>\n He recently had a major rally with Rep.
