{"id":272793,"date":"2026-06-20T19:49:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T19:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/272793\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T19:49:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T19:49:14","slug":"news-12-westchester-13-year-old-yonkers-student-accused-of-choking-threatening-girl-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/272793\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Westchester | 13 Year Old Yonkers Student Accused Of Choking Threatening Girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A 13-year-old boy accused of choking and threatening another student was arrested, according to Yonkers police.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Officers responded to Yonkers Public School 15 on June 5 after receiving a report of a past sex-related offense.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Investigators say the boy used sexually explicit language and threats toward the 12-year-old girl while choking and forcibly touching her during recess.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The boy is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and forcible touching. He has since been released to his mother.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">School officials say parents were notified, the student is suspended and has not returned to school.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Due to his age, police say the matter is being handled by family court and no further identifying information will be released.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 13-year-old boy accused of choking and threatening another student was arrested, according to Yonkers police.
