Last night (Sunday June 21), Josh Homme<\/a> and co. teased fans with a video showing a Google search of things to do in Iceland, which they followed up by searching when the band\u2019s next gig there would be.<\/p>\n

Now, they\u2019ve officially announced a one-off show at Reykjav\u00edk\u2019s Laugardalsh\u00f6ll on Saturday October 24 at Reykjav\u00edk\u2019s Laugardalsh\u00f6ll, marking a long-overdue reunion with local fans, who will also see Reykjavik\u2019s own Virgin Orchestra open the gig.<\/p>\n

Taking to social media to announce the gig, they wrote: \u201cIceland, it\u2019s simply been too long. HERE. WE. COME.\u201d\u00a0Tickets go on sale this Friday (June 26) at 11.00am local time. You can find yours here<\/a>\u00a0and visit here<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

The one-off show follows a stripped-back performance at the historic Parisian Catacombs back in 2024<\/a>, which was captured for\u00a0an accompanying concert film<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0live album<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NME\u00a0awarded\u00a0Alive In The Catacombs four stars<\/a>, writing: \u201cAlive In The Catacombs\u00a0may be powerful enough alone, but it hits differently when followed by Neumann\u2019s companion doc.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s explained that the grisly performance has been 20 years in the planning, though only came to fruition when Homme\u00a0was at death\u2019s door himself.\u00a0Alive In Paris And Before\u00a0begins with last summer\u2019s European tour \u2013 including the story of Homme\u2019s \u201cmedical emergency\u201d and cancer battle (he\u2019s since had the all-clear<\/a>).\u201d<\/p>\n

QOTSA followed up the Catacombs show with a tour of the UK<\/a>, Europe and North America at which they recreated the intimate look of the caves, and were joined by a string section.<\/p>\n

The final of the UK dates was at London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall in October, where they aired new material and were joined by\u00a0Matt Berry<\/a> for a stripped-back and emotional set \u2013\u00a0you can check out footage and photos from the show here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With QOTSA set to return to the road later this year with stadium support dates with System Of A Down in the UK and Europe<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Foo Fighters in North America<\/a>, fans are expecting the follow-up to\u00a0\u2018In Times New Roman\u2019<\/a>\u00a0to arrive in 2026.<\/p>\n
