Wu has provided steady leadership at Queens College through a period of significant challenge and change, helping the college adapt to meet the needs of the moment and its community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring his six-year tenure, which began amid the COVID-19 pandemic, President Wu strengthened Queens College through several achievements. He led the establishment of the School of Business, supported by a multimillion-dollar philanthropic gift; implemented the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan; celebrated the opening of the Louis Armstrong Center and its designation as a member of New York City\u2019s Cultural Institutions Group, securing dedicated annual funding; and, most recently, guided the college through the Middle States Commission for Higher Education accreditation process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a former president of Queens College, I have a deep and lasting affection for this campus and its diverse,\u00a0dedicated\u00a0and talented community. I am grateful for President Wu\u2019s commitment to the mission of Queens College and CUNY, and for the work we have done together during his tenure.
