Emerging artists, students and experienced practitioners alike have expressed interest in having a regular space to practice observational drawing, connect with fellow creatives, and strengthen their artistic skills.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural Pride event celebrates creativity, self-expression, and community. Participants will have the opportunity to draw from a live model as Kitty Kaboodles appears in full drag, bringing vibrant costume, character, and performance energy to the gallery in honor of Pride Month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArt of Pride figure drawing with Kitty Kaboodles at Pelham Art Center is a perfect fit for our community. We wanted to offer something unique, creative, and celebratory\u2014an experience that brings people together through art and self-expression. This felt like exactly the right idea, and I can\u2019t wait to see the portraits participants create.\u201d \u2014 Nancy Mazzei, Interim Executive Director, Pelham Art Center\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No prior experience is necessary, and artists of all skill levels are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Pride event, the Figure Drawing Series will continue throughout the summer with additional sessions scheduled for July 10 and August 7.
