Speculation continues over what will take over 560 Manhattan Avenue, the space that most recently housed Bar Bruno. <\/p>\n

Last week, neighbors passing by were greeted with a blast from the past when the original Enid\u2019s sign was revealed amid ongoing construction.\u00a0However, the former Enid\u2019s team confirmed to Greenpointers that the beloved bar is not returning.<\/p>\n

Since January, the rumor mill has been swirling that the Greenpoint Fish & Lobster team plans to take over the space.<\/a> Business filings offer a clue. A notice posted this past winter shows that 560 MA BK LLC is seeking a liquor license for a new restaurant. New York State records link the LLC to Vincent Milburn, co-owner of Greenpoint Fish & Lobster.<\/p>\n

At the time, we reached out to Milburn, who could neither confirm nor deny any involvement. But the Greenpoint Fish & Lobster team took over the original Bar Bruno location in Carroll Gardens this past May, apparently part of a package deal to take over both spaces.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whatever their plans for the space, Enid\u2019s will not be a part of it. For 20 years, Enid\u2019s served as one of Greenpoint\u2019s most beloved brunch spots and neighborhood watering holes before closing in 2019.<\/p>\n
