According to the New York City Board of Elections<\/a>, 420,527 votes have been cast in the primaries throughout in New York City, including 81,247 in Queens, as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, QNS visited several polling sites in Queens to gauge voters\u2019 priorities and reasons for how they voted. Multiple candidates also spoke with QNS to talk about how they were feeling on this important day.<\/p>\n

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani arrived at I.S. 93 in Ridgewood early Tuesday morning to vote. He met up with 7th Congressional District Candidate Claire Valdez, 37th Assembly District Candidate Samantha Kattan and 12th Senatorial District Candidate Aber Kawas, each of whom is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America<\/a> whom he has endorsed.<\/p>\n

Below are the races and candidates in this year\u2019s primaries in Queens. Those leading their respective races will be listed in italics. Results will not become official until certified by the Board of Elections.<\/p>\n
