NEW YORK (1010 WINS) \u2014 Police on Tuesday released photos of a suspect wanted for allegedly beating a woman with an umbrella in a Manhattan subway station last week.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Monday, June 15, inside the West 4th Street subway station in Greenwich Village.<\/p>\n
According to officials, a 62-year-old woman was exiting a subway train when she accidentally bumped into the suspect, sparking a verbal dispute, which quickly turned physical.<\/p>\n
The attacker shoved the victim to the ground and repeatedly struck her across the body with an umbrella before fleeing the station on foot to an unknown location.<\/p>\n
The victim was transported via private means to NYC Health + Hospitals\/South Brooklyn Health, where she was treated for her injuries and listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
The suspect was last seen wearing a black dress, pink sneakers, and carrying a green bag.<\/p>\n
