Simon has occupied the role since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Green, who is nearing the end of her term as a District Leader for District 52, ran on an anti-establishment platform focused on taxing the rich, housing and climate. Simon, who was a disability civil rights lawyer prior to her political career, ran a reelection campaign focused on affordability, education and climate.
